Recovery Coaching

Lived Experience. Structured Accountability. Radical Compassion.

Navigating the path to sustained sobriety requires more than willpower; it demands a fundamental shift in how you relate to your mind, your body, and the world around you.

As a gratefully recovered addict and alcoholic through a 12-step program , I bring authentic lived experience to our sessions. My approach combines the practical, structured accountability of proven recovery frameworks with the profound, stabilizing power of presence-based mindfulness.

This is a person-centered, trauma-sensitive space designed to help you dismantle old patterns, anchor yourself in the present moment, and build a resilient, purpose-driven life in recovery.

How Recovery Coaching Helps

Recovery is not a solo journey. Together, we build a practical scaffolding for your daily life while cultivating the internal stillness needed to handle life's challenges without turning to substances.

  • Mindfulness for Craving Management & Urge Surfing
Learn to witness cravings, intense emotions, and physical triggers without reacting to them. Through Eckhart Tolle-inspired presence techniques, you will develop the capacity to "surf" the waves of discomfort, recognizing them as temporary mental and physical sensations rather than commands to act.
  • Dismantling Ego & Reactivity Patterns
Addiction thrives in the repetitive, anxious loops of the mind. We will gently uncover the subconscious defense mechanisms, pride, and reactive ego patterns that threaten long-term sobriety. By bringing non-judgmental awareness to these structures, they naturally lose their power over you.
  • Grounded Accountability & Routine
Building a new life requires discipline and personal accountability. Drawing from the structural principles of fellowship service and successful self-employment, I help you establish clear daily structures, reliable routines, and healthy personal boundaries that support your ongoing stability.
  • Emotional Regulation & Relapse Prevention
True resilience is modeling calm in challenging situations. You will learn practical somatic tools—such as mindful breathing and body scans—to regulate your nervous system when anxiety, stress, or vulnerability arise, creating a robust shield against relapse.

Our Framework for Transformation

Our sessions are collaborative, fluid, and tailored entirely to where you are on your path. We focus on three core pillars:

Pillar Focus Outcome
1. The Anchor Connecting with the body and the present moment through breath and non-judgmental awareness. Immediate reduction in stress, anxiety, and mental reactivity.
2. The Inventory Honestly identifying the mental loops, triggers, and environments that fuel addictive behavior. Clarity on subconscious patterns and the creation of firm, protective boundaries.
3. The Scaffolding Designing a structured, accountable daily routine aligned with long-term recovery goals. Sustained discipline, self-compassion, and a deeply grounded lifestyle.

A Safe, Confidential Container

"Holding space means creating a sanctuary where vulnerability is met with absolute compassion, not judgment. Having served my recovery community extensively—mentoring individuals and managing fellowship responsibilities—I maintain strict confidentiality, professional boundaries, and a trauma-informed lens in every interaction."

Whether you are freshly sober and seeking direction, experiencing a period of stagnant recovery, or looking to deepen your spiritual toolkit to prevent relapse, Recovery Coaching at Fortified Presence offers the grounded support you need to step forward into lasting freedom.
